AIM: This is a mixed (descriptive-research) study aimed at examining and analyzing the challenges faced by the police in dealing with fentanyl, a powerful synthetic drug that has become a serious global concern.
MATERIAL AND METHOD: In the descriptive-review section, the researchers provided a comprehensive description of the nature of fentanyl, its threats, and an analysis of the challenges faced by the police in managing the fentanyl crisis. The methodology of this study includes the use of the latest credible scientific sources, collaboration with the Forensic Chemistry Laboratory and the Narcotics Group of the Police University, and the application of advanced drug analysis techniques such as Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) and Gas Chromatography (GC). In the research section, empirical studies were conducted in collaboration with the Forensic Chemistry Laboratory and the Narcotics Group of the Police University. Utilizing advanced police technologies, the researchers conducted empirical investigations and accurate identification of fentanyl in real samples.
FINDINGS: The results of this mixed study indicate that the use of these advanced methods can lead to the accurate and rapid identification of fentanyl even in very small quantities, and consequently, can contribute to increasing community security and reducing crimes related to this dangerous drug.
