fa لزوم غربالگری و ارزیابی شناختی رانندگان سالمند در تمدید گواهینامه رانندگی: نامه به سردبیر روان‌شناسی انتظامی Police Related Psychology نامه به سردبير Letter to Editor <div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family:IRANsharp;"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="direction:rtl"><span style="unicode-bidi:embed"><span lang="AR-SA" style="font-size:12.0pt">این مقاله به بررسی اهمیت غربالگری و ارزیابی شناختی رانندگان سالمند در فرآیند تمدید گواهینامه رانندگی می‌پردازد. با توجه به افزایش جمعیت سالمندان در ایران و جهان، ایمنی رانندگی این گروه به یکی از مسائل مهم تبدیل شده است، زیرا کاهش طبیعی توانایی‌های شناختی با افزایش سن می‌تواند بر عملکرد رانندگی تأثیر منفی بگذارد. در این راستا، بسیاری از کشورها با اجرای معاینات اجباری و صدور گواهینامه‌های مشروط به این مسئله پرداخته‌اند، اما در ایران هنوز سیستم نظامندی برای غربالگری شناختی سالمندان وجود ندارد. </span><span lang="FA" style="font-size:12.0pt">یافته‌های مطالعات مختلف نشان می‌دهد که 1) کاهش توانمندی‌های شناختی بخصوص سرعت پردازش، توجه انتخابی، برنامه‌ریزی و انعطاف‌پذیری شناختی، بیشترین ارتباط را با تخلفات رانندگی سالمندان دارد، 2) ارزیابی شناختی منظم می‌تواند به کاهش تصادفات و بهبود ایمنی رانندگی کمک کند، 3) بومی‌سازی روش‌های غربالگری شناختی و انجام مطالعات ملی برای تطبیق این روش‌ها با شرایط فرهنگی و اجتماعی ایران امری ضروری است و در نهایت 4) توسعه گزینه‌های حمل‌ونقل جایگزین برای سالمندانی که دیگر قادر به رانندگی ایمن نیستند، با حفظ استقلال آنها به ایمنی جامعه کمک خواهد کرد.</span></span></span></span></span></span><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:normal"><span style="direction:rtl"><span style="unicode-bidi:embed"><span sans-serif="" style="font-family:Calibri,"><span dir="LTR" style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:"Cambria","serif""></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></div> <div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:normal"><span sans-serif="" style="font-family:Calibri,"><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span cambria="" style="font-family:"><span style="color:#0e101a">This article examines the importance of screening and cognitive assessment of elderly drivers in renewing their driving licenses. Given the increasing elderly population in Iran and the world, driving safety of this group has become an important issue, because the natural decline in cognitive abilities with age can negatively affect driving performance. In this regard, many countries have addressed this issue by implementing mandatory examinations and issuing conditional licenses, but in Iran, there is still no systematic system for cognitive screening of the elderly. Various studies show that 1) a decrease in cognitive abilities, especially processing speed, selective attention, planning, and cognitive flexibility, is most closely related to driving violations in the elderly. 2) Regular cognitive assessment can help reduce accidents and improve driving safety, 3) localization of cognitive screening methods and conducting national studies to adapt these methods to the cultural and social conditions of Iran are essential.
